About

hub.brussels, in collaboration with the CBL-ACP Chamber of Commerce, is organising a multisector economic mission to Guinea Conakry from 10 to 15 October 2026.

Why Guinea?

With over 14 million inhabitants, a young population and sustained economic growth, Guinea is steadily establishing itself as one of West Africa’s most promising markets.

The country benefits from major strategic assets:

  • Some of the world’s largest natural resources (bauxite, gold, iron, hydropower);
  • A central geographical position in West Africa; Significant needs in infrastructure, services and modernisation;
  • Rapid urbanisation and strong growth in domestic demand;
  • Numerous projects supported by international donors, financial institutions and European partners.

Guinea is now seeking to accelerate its economic transformation, digitalisation and infrastructure development. In this context, Belgian expertise is particularly sought after and recognised across several key sectors.

Sectors highlighted during the mission

  • Construction & infrastructure: roads, buildings, urban development, materials, engineering, technical equipment
  • Energy & environment: renewable energy, water, waste management, energy efficiency, sustainable solutions
  • Logistics & transport: ports, supply chains, mobility, logistics equipment and international trade-related services
  • Digitalisation & innovation: IT solutions, fintech, service digitalisation, smart solutions, entrepreneurial innovation
  • Agri-food & processing: local processing, packaging, agri-food equipment, cold chain and distribution

Program

The following programme is provisional and subject to change.

Saturday 10 October

• Departure from Brussels to Conakry

Sunday 11 October
• Visit to a Belgian company operating in Conakry, followed by a city discovery programme to better understand the country’s business environment
• Mission briefing – welcome drink

Monday 12 October
• Official opening ceremony
• B2B sessions
• ‘Doing Business in Guinea’ seminar with local and international experts

Tuesday 13 October
• Institutional and B2G meetings
• Seminar on project financing with donors (WB-AFDB-DELEU) and ENABEL
• Networking reception at the Belgian Residence in Conakry

Wednesday 14 October
• Field visit – project to be defined

Thursday 15 October

• Day dedicated to follow-up meetings and further discussions
• Return to Brussels at the end of the day

Practical info

Participation fee

  • €100 for Brussels SMEs
  • €500 for Brussels businesses with more than 250 employees
  • €900 for Flemish and Walloon companies

The registration fee includes transport and group activities, networking events, and your individual programme prepared by our office based on a company profile to be filled in.

Visa

All information can be found via the following link: https://www.paf.gov.gn/visa. A passport valid for at least 6 months is required. You must also hold an international yellow vaccination booklet. To facilitate the visa application process, we will regularly inform the embassy of registered participants.
