hub.brussels, in collaboration with Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) and AWEX, is pleased to welcome representatives of CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) to Brussels on Wednesday 20 May 2026, from 9:00 to 16:00 at the Herman Teirlinck Building (Tour & Taxis).
CERN is one of the world’s leading scientific research organizations and a major public high- and deep-tech buyer in Europe. Each year, CERN spends approximately CHF 500-600 million on goods, services and infrastructure, covering a broad range of sectors such as advanced engineering, industrial equipment, IT solutions, electronics and technical services.
The objective of this seminar is to demystify CERN’s procurement procedures and provide Belgian companies with practical insights into current and forthcoming business opportunities.
During the seminar, CERN experts will present:
- CERN’s mission and organizational structure
- How procurement works in practice
- Upcoming technical needs and future projects.
In the afternoon, a selection of companies will be invited to take part in one-on-one meetings with CERN representatives.
