Coronavirus: open letter to Brussels companies
Events cancelled, international activities halted, shops closed… coronavirus is storming the media and causing disruption around the world… and the business ecosystem in Brussels has not been spared.
Whilst it is clearly essential to comply with the precautionary measures introduced by the federal government of Belgium in order to sterm the coronavirus epidemic, we are very aware of the enormous impacts that self-isolation and containment will have on your business and, for many of you, on your ability to pay the bills and protect the safety and well-being of your household.
We are thinking of you and understand how important to take a quick action. We are thus ramping up our efforts to ensure that you are supported during this difficult time. Although the doors of 110 Chaussée de Charleroi are closed at the current time, the hubsters, and particularly the advisors working for the 1819 Service, continue to be available, by e-mail and telephone, to answer your questions and guide your search for the right solutions.
We are very well aware how fragile is your sector to this kind of crises we are currently experiencing. However, we also know just how resilient you are. Our experience, acquired from our interactions with people we know personally, from local social networks, and from phone calls with shopkeepers and entrepreneurs in Brussels, shows that the vast majority of people are responding to the crisis with solidarity, creativity, common sense and a positive attitude.
We wish you “Bon courage”. Your efforts are essential.
