Together for virtuous and accessible entrepreneurship.

The Brussels region boasts an entrepreneurial ecosystem as rich as it is dynamic. From business centers to local economy offices, from activity cooperatives to incubators, from co-working spaces to business circles, our region is animated by a multitude of networks and opportunities for entrepreneurs from all horizons.

And that’s just as well, because there are many challenges to be met in supporting the vitality of businesses, accompanying their transition to more virtuous models and removing the many obstacles to entrepreneurship for all.

hub.brussels coordinates and animates a number of thematic networks, working in synergy to make Brussels the most stimulating, inspiring and promising region in terms of entrepreneurship.

Women in Business

Men and women are not born equal when it comes to entrepreneurship. Although progress has been made in reducing this disparity, women are still under-represented in the business world. Hand in hand with some 45 partners, we are working to create an ecosystem that enables women to emancipate themselves through entrepreneurship.

Young Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

Young people are clearly the key to our socio-economic future. Yet they also struggle to access the same entrepreneurial opportunities as their elders. Our Young Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow hub is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting youth entrepreneurship, joining forces with Brussels schools to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among students.

Cultural and creative industries

The cultural and creative sectors play a fundamental role on economic, environmental and social levels. As an inexhaustible source of innovation and a reservoir of talent, the cultural and creative industries form the vibrant heart of Brussels. Powerful economic driver long underestimated, this sector is the second largest provider of jobs in our Region. Through creative.hub, we are reaffirming our commitment to supporting Brussels’ creative entrepreneurs, in collaboration with some sixty partners active in supporting CCIs.

Local partners

More than ever, well-being in the city depends on the vitality of its shopping centers. Our “Local Partners” team works with Brussels’ 19 municipalities and their associations to stimulate the city’s 104 shopping districts, foster inspiration, encounters and synergies, and effectively and creatively combat the episodes in urban life that can negatively impact their energy.

Support partners

Brussels has a plethora of entrepreneurial support structures, local economy counters and business centers. Promoting this ecosystem is one of our missions. Our responsibility is to coordinate the various structures to ensure the most accessible and seamless support experience possible in Brussels.

Economic Coordination Council

The Economic Coordination Council is an absolutely unique body in Belgium. Around the Minister for Economic Transition, it brings together the heads of 20 regional public institutions linked to the economy. This quarterly council aims to develop rapid, concrete solutions for businesses, helping them to set up and prosper in the urban fabric of Brussels.
