Why participate in an international economic mission?
Every year, hub.brussels organises over a hundred actions to help you improve your sales. This includes over forty trade missions.
Organised by hub.brussels, often in cooperation with FIT and AWEX, its regional counterparts, the trade missions can draw attention to your products from customers who are more difficult to attract prospecting alone.
The participation fees are generally 100 euros for SMEs and 300 euros for large companies.
Two royal trade missions, led by HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, are organised every year in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Agency and the other two regional agencies. Like the Brussels-based missions, they enable participating companies to meet local authorities in an official context.
How can the hub.brussels Export team help you?
Along with the collective mission programme, we also offer a bespoke programme adapted to your needs. Our Brussels-based Area Managers and our on-site Economic and Commercial Attachés steer you towards suitable interlocutors, from Brussels to the four corners of the world.
Our teams are at your disposal to assist you with every step of your export project. They can help you find the most relevant missions to present your products and services.
What are the benefits of participating in a hub.brussels mission?
There are many advantages to participating in an economic mission organised by a public body such as hub.brussels:
Economies of scale
You benefit from collective logistics and reduced costs (transport, hotel, meeting rooms).
Preparatory briefing
Before leaving, we advise you on adapting to the country’s business culture.
Individual assistance
Our Economic and Commercial Attachés and Area Managers continuously support you, before and during the mission.
Facilitated contact
The mission facilitates contact with local authorities, decision-makers and potential partners.
B2B meetings
Organised by our Economic and Commercial Attachés based on your needs, the B2B meetings are opportunities to meet targeted prospects on a one-to-one basis and present your products to them.
Seminars with the entrepreneurial world
High-quality speakers show you the best export strategies.
Local company visits
Company visits put you in direct contact with people working in the field.
Official dinners and networking receptions
These events grow your business network.
A group dynamic
Belgian companies can often get a jump start by sharing advice. This can also lead to partnerships.
Guaranteed follow-up
Upon returning to Brussels, you can count on support from our Area Managers and our Economic and Commercial Attaché stationed in the country. They will assist you after the mission and provide their services free-of-charge.
Enhanced subsidies
The Region encourages companies to prospect with economic missions via various financial incentives. SMEs that visit a market outside of Europe within 18 months following their participation in a hub.brussels trade mission can benefit from a 75% subsidy instead of the normal 50% rate.
What are the requirements for participating in a mission?
You must meet a set of conditions to participate in an economic mission.
