Seminar ‘Export your services to China’
- Multisectors
- China
Looking to export your services to China? Join our seminar, organised together with the EU SME Centre and the EU China IP SME Helpdesk, on 26 May. Get precious insights and take the first step in creating your network of partners, which will lead you on the way to successfully assist Chinese companies.
About
Chinese companies are rapidly developing activities on the European market. They seek access for their innovative products against the background of China’s stabilizing economic growth. The European single market with a large consumer base offers opportunities. Entering the European market, known for its regulatory sophistication, also raises questions.
This is where Brussels’ firms hold a key to success. Being close to the European decision-makers and using the highest international standards, Brussels’ firms have the expertise and experience to successfully assist young and innovative Chinese companies tapping into the European market.
This seminar is a follow-up event of the hub.brussels EU Market Access Economic Mission to China in April 2024. The delegation of Brussels’ firms attracted an audience of a record-breaking number of 200 Chinese companies. Due to the success, hub.brussels will repeat the mission in November 2025.
Meet our speakers!
A panel of carefully selected speakers has been confirmed for this seminar.
Mattias Debroyer, General Representative of Brussels (hub.brussels Shanghai), will share insights on the bigger picture of China’s economy’s recent developments and its business environment.
The EU SME Centre will give you a head-start for your next mission to China by elaborating on the essentials when doing business in China.
Ava Thu, Partner at Daldewolf, will dive deeper into the legal and tax considerations when exporting your services.
Understanding China’s unique social media ecosystem is key to understanding how Chinese companies operate, survive and thrive. Jan Van Loon, a Shanghai-based expert in China’s social media landscape and Founder & CEO at White Caviar, will tell us all about it.
Last but not least, Valentin de le Court, partner and lawyer at Osborne Clarke Brussels, and expert at the EU IPR Helpdesk will show us why protection of your IP, even as service provider, still matters today.
Who should attend?
Brussels’ firms catering to the needs of international companies and that wish to expand their business to Chinese companies, ranging from the legal sector to accounting, communication and branding, business consulting, data protection, market access consulting, and also to architecture, design and so on. This event is only open to Brussels based firms.
