Economic Mission to Egypt

17/01/2621/01/26

Do you offer water or wastewater treatment solutions? Join the Belgian delegation on our mission to Egypt from 17 to 21 January 2026. Share your expertise, meet local decision-makers, and contribute to the transformation of a growing strategic market, where water management is central to the development strategy.

About

hub.brussels, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), and Wallonia Export & Investment (AWEX) are organising a Belgian economic mission to Egypt focusing on water and wastewater treatment.

Why Egypt?

With over 110 million inhabitants and sharply growing demand, Egypt is facing significant challenges due to the increasing scarcity of its water resources. Dependence on the Nile, population pressure, and climate change are making it more necessary than ever to adopt sustainable solutions to guarantee the country’s access to water as well as water security.

That’s why Egypt puts water management at the heart of its development strategy, by making massive investments in producing drinkable water, desalinating sea water, reusing wastewater, and modernising the country’s infrastructure.

Faced with these challenges, Egypt has deployed ambitious investment programmes, opening the door to a vast array of opportunities for Belgian businesses involved in water management and treatment, desalination, energy efficiency, and renewable solutions. It’s a chance to divulge your expertise, meet local decision-makers, and take part in transforming an expanding strategic market.
