Economic mission in the context of COP30 Brazil

0721/11/25

hub.brussels and Flanders Investment & Trade are organising an economic mission in the context of COP30 in São Paulo (5–7 November 2025) and/or Belém (10–21 November 2025). Showcase your cleantech/greentech solution, meet key stakeholders, and explore new international opportunities.

About

COP30, which will be held in Belém (Brazil) from 10 to 21 November 2025, will bring together over 70,000 participants from governments, businesses, NGOs and international institutions to address global climate challenges. A true strategic hub for players in the ecological transition, the COP features thematic pavilions, networking events and high-level conferences each year. A large Belgian delegation, led by ministerial representatives, is expected. For a company offering solutions to environmental challenges, attending means gaining access to international decision-makers, increasing visibility for sustainable solutions, and seizing business opportunities in a changing global ecosystem.

The city and state of São Paulo are also preparing to welcome a wave of international delegations. Local actors are involved in thematic days in preparation for the COP, to be held from 5 to 7 November 2025.

Targeted sectors include: Climate-Tech & Decarbonization, Renewable energy, Construction & Engineering, Bioeconomy & Sustainable Agriculture, and Climate Finance.

Program

Since Brazil has not yet released the official COP30 programme detailing the thematic days, the dates still need to be confirmed. If this mission interests you, we will organise a meeting to define a tailored programme.

5-7 November: pre-COP mission in Sao Paulo

Option: 10-11 November

  • Pre-COP economic mission in São Paulo to explore Brazil’s climate ecosystem

From 10 November: COP30 à Belem

  • As accommodation is particularly expensive in Belém, your stay at COP will need to be adapted according to the thematic days

Practical info

  • You will receive an accreditation that gives access to the Green Zone and the Blue Zone, subject to approval.
  • Please note that the inter-federal accreditation committee reserves the right to decline accreditation if the company’s presence does not align with the COP’s objectives.
  • We are planning a backup accommodation solution. Brazil is currently facing challenges in hosting the international community. If no new accommodation options are proposed by then, we foresee a backup plan using Airbnb.
  • Please note that Airbnb listings currently range between €200 and €300 per night per person, with limited availability.
  • Hotels are currently offering rates starting at €1,500 per night per person.
  • Official pricing and accommodation options are expected to be announced soon via a digital platform (launch date not yet communicated) dedicated to COP30 lodging. This tool, already used in previous editions of the climate conference, aims to list hotels, guesthouses, private homes and temporary accommodation available in the capital of Pará and surrounding regions.

Price

  • Startups and SMEs: €100 excl. VAT
  • Other companies: €500 excl. VAT
  • Please note that travel expenses are at your own cost
