Circlemade on Tour: the zero waste caravan welcomes you!
The network of innovative circular economy players will be on tour from 27 November to 1 December at five Brussels-Capital Region markets. At the initiative of hub.brussels, ten specialists will take turns in the circlemade caravan introducing you to the benefits of the circular economy.
For over a year now, circlemade has been the network that brings together and supports the innovative players of the circular economy in Brussels. Its goal? To increase the effective use of resources and work toward a zero waste model. Over 20 innovative players now belong to circlemade. Some are active in the food, clothing and mobility sectors and others are specialised in equipment or entertainment.
“Far from taking part in shopping holidays like Black Friday, which is a symbol of unrestrained consumerism and promotes an unsustainable production model, it is essential to encourage companies and businesses to transition towards a green economy”, explains Barbara Trachte, Secretary of State for Economic Transition. “The region intends to standardise the circular economy and zero waste models. The impact of these models is environmental but also social since they are sources of meaningful and non-relocatable local employment.”
Come visit the caravan and discover the innovative circular and zero waste offerings: the caravan will be coming to you soon!
Ten of them will be meeting visitors in the vintage caravan at the markets of Evere, Parvis de Saint Gilles, Chasseurs Ardennais, Flagey and Jette.
By their nature, markets are convivial places where products and services are compared and discussed. There’s no doubt that the circular economy will arouse your curiosity thanks to the innovations of each of the players. In addition, a quiz will challenge you to identify the specificities of each with many surprises as an added bonus!
