ANIMA 2020: north-south animation forum

Do you have or are you looking for an animated series to co-produce or broadcast? Join us at Anima, one of Europe’s biggest animation festivals! On 26 and 27 February we invite you to attend the animated series co-production forum connecting countries from the north and south of Europe, taking place at the Flagey cultural centre in Brussels.

Are you looking for international partners, creatives or funding? Whether you have an animated series, are a producer looking for a project to co-produce, or a broadcaster or television channel, come and share your vision and discover the potential partnership you need to launch your series!

This year the spotlight will be on Belgian comics, whose international success and creativity have been extensively demonstrated. Come and meet comic editors eager to see their favourite characters come to life through the wonderful world of animation.

Held in Brussels where animations from the south meet those from the north

For this next session lasting two days, Brussels is utilising its iconic position as the nerve centre of Europe and the meeting point of different cultures, ideas and European co-production.

Animation professionals from 4 countries in the south of Europe (Spain, Italy, France and Luxembourg) and 5 countries in the north (Norway, Sweden, Finland Poland and Denmark) are meeting in Brussels to develop ambitious animated series projects.

You will have the opportunity to present your projects and persuade the tens of producers present to invest in your animated series project (please note that you must already have obtained a minimum of 15% funding of the total budget).

Last year’s participants included Canal Plus, France Télévisions, RTBF and even Ketnet.
