A test to measure your company's sustainability

Economic transition is no longer an option: it is a necessity. With the “Shifting Economy” economic transition strategy, Brussels is moving toward an inclusive, low-carbon region – i.e. a region that is carbon neutral – by 2050. And because this objective will almost exclusively require a paradigm shift within Brussels businesses, hub.brussels has developed a self-diagnosis tool for them. Where are you on the road to economic transition? Take the test!

In recent years, hub.brussels has taken a number of initiatives to raise awareness among Brussels businesses about the importance of shifting their core business to make it more sustainable.

However, they still lacked a tool that would allow them to assess where they stand in this economic transition, and what quick wins can be found to take concrete steps without losing their balance or slowing down their development.

A test to measure your degree of economic transition

You can do that now with the “economic transition” self-diagnostic test: a 25-question questionnaire that you can complete in just 15 minutes. The questions focus on three themes:

  • E for environment westies;
  • S for social issues
  • G for questions about the governance of your company.

These themes were chosen to align with the criteria required for sustainable development reports at the European level, and more specifically in the European CSRD Directive (which regulates the content of companies’ non-financial reports).

The 4 pluses of our self-diagnosis

First and foremost, it is an awareness-raising tool, designed to help you understand the components and challenges of the economic transition so that you can seize the opportunities it presents. It offers a set of recommendations tailored to the company’s situation.

  • Easy to access and use
  • Multiple-choice and declarative (no evidence or details to provide)
  • Relevant, easy-to-apply advice for all levels: additionalinformation is provided for each question to help you fully understand the problem at hand
  • Lots of tips and information on labels

What kind of shifter are you?

Here’s how it works:

  • log in to sustainability-diagnostic.hub.brussels
  • choose your language in the upper right corner: French, Dutch or English
  • start the test

At the end of the test, you will receive by e-mail a file with recommendations, consisting of a summary sheet and 3 advice sheets (based on the OSB pillars).

You can stop the test at any time and resume it later by clicking on the “Resume the form later” link. You will then receive an e-mail that allows you to return to the same question. Be careful not to click the “Back” button on your browser, as this will interrupt your current session!

This self-diagnosis serves as a monitoring tool and is a prelude to hub.brussels support.
