hub declares its love for Brussels entrepreneurs!
hub.brussels, the Brussels Business Support Agency, has chosen this Valentine’s day, 14 February, to launch its campaign and declare its love for entrepreneurs, since a successful love story comprises trust and patience, as well as determination, wonder and plans for the future. And what works for a human being also works for Brussels and its entrepreneurs. It’s true, there is a real love affair between the city and its bold and innovative companies who are committed to society and the environment.
On this day dedicated to love, hub.brussels will shine a light on fifty or so of these heroes and heroines. Read about them on the following site: thewordmagazine.com/hub-heroes. We uncover encounters, adventures, life journeys, projects firmly anchored in the Brussels region.
As Isabelle Grippa, the CEO of hub.brussels, explains, it is about, “fifty portraits and interviews that demonstrate the dense and dynamic entrepreneurial culture of the region. Why chose this day to launch the campaign? Because in all of our supportive work, there is a constant: the entrepreneurs are in love with Brussels. This city is conducive to entrepreneurship. And the region, armed with 300 hub.brussels advisors, loves entrepreneurs and helps them to become the heroes of tomorrow’s economy.”
Always keen to highlight the vitality and the dynamism of our capital, Nicholas Lewis, founder of the Brussels magazine The Word, explains, “the collaboration with hub.brussels has allowed us to refine our selection of portraits by calling on their expertise to make sure that the portraits are both relevant and representative”.
Amongst these entrepreneurs, there are some ‘doers’ who have dared to have an idea and have carried it through, some ‘dreamers’ who run with one, two, three or more projects, some ‘changers’ who campaign for change, some ‘thinkers’ who wander off the beaten track and some ‘storytellers’ who turn sharp, technological subjects into living stories.
All of these hub heroes have things in common: they are at ease in our capital and they like the cosmopolitanism that they consider to be an advantage; and they value hub.brussels’ support, which they benefit from at all stages of their deployment.
Héléna, John and Xavier, Rodolphe, Jordania, Alan and Camille, Mousa, Marie and Charlotte, Hadrien, Karim, Quentin and Sylvère, and all the others: you are heroes! All of these stories deserve to be told and brought to light in order to pay tribute to the originality, the inventiveness, the tenacity, the rigour and the talent of Brussels’ entrepreneurs.
