About
hub.brussels, AWEX and FIT are organising an economic mission to Angola from 3 to 9 May, aligned with the Angola–EU Business Forum, whose in‑person phase will take place from 5 to 7 May.
Why Angola?
Angola stands out as one of Africa’s most dynamic emerging markets, driven by a rapidly growing economy fuelled by oil revenues and an ambitious diversification agenda aimed at boosting local production and reducing import dependence. With a population of over 40 million—70% of whom live in urban areas—the country faces soaring demand for services, infrastructure, transport and a modern, efficient food supply chain.
The Lobito Corridor is rapidly becoming a new strategic logistics artery, connecting Angola’s port and rail system to the mineral-rich regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia, positioning the country as a pivotal gateway for regional trade. At the same time, Angola’s mining sector is booming, supported by global demand for critical raw materials essential to the energy transition. Agriculture and food processing offer equally significant potential, thanks to fertile land, large-scale investment plans, and a clear need for technology, machinery and processing capacity.
The Angola–UE Business Forum 2026 brings these opportunities together, gathering leaders, investors and companies from Angola, neighbouring corridor countries and Europe for high‑level dialogue, targeted B2B matchmaking, project presentations, financing pathways and on‑site visits along the corridor—offering direct exposure to one of Africa’s most promising development routes.
