About

hub.brussels, in close collaboration with the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) and Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), is organizing a Belgian economic and trade mission to Nairobi from 10 to 15 November 2025. The mission will focus on the following key sectors:

  • Agriculture and agri-food
  • Digital technologies and innovation
  • Infrastructure and construction
  • Financial services and ICT
  • Sustainable tourism
  • Import-export

The goal of this mission is to promote sustainable economic partnerships, strengthen trade relations, and identify concrete collaboration opportunities with public and private stakeholders in Kenya.

MONDAY, 10 NOVEMBER 2025 – ARRIVAL & CULTURAL ACTIVITY

  • 21:15- Arrival in Nairobi
  • Dinner at leisure

TUESDAY, 11 NOVEMBER 2025 – DISCOVERING NAIROBI & BRIEFING

  • 10:30 – 15:30: Guided visit of Nairobi’s Central Business District
    or Nairobi National Museum & Snake Park – Discover Kenya’s natural history, culture, traditions and biodiversity
  • 17:30 – 19:00: Briefing session with the organizers (hub.brussels, AWEX, FIT)

WEDNESDAY, 12 NOVEMBER 2025 – OFFICIAL LAUNCH & B2B MEETINGS

  • 08:30: Official Opening
  • 10:30 – 16:00: Open-format B2B meetings
  • 16:00 – 17:30: Doing Business in Kenya – Expert insights from KPMG & Deloitte

Thursday, 13 November 2025 – Financial Institutions & Field Visits

  • 09:00 – 12:30: Thematic Seminar
  • 14:30 – 17:00: Institutional meetings (ministries, agencies, banks)
  • Evening: Free time or optional event (TBC)

FRIDAY, 14 NOVEMBER 2025: UN VISIT & OFFICIAL RECEPTION

09:30 – Welcome and security check at the entrance (passport required)
10:00 – Guided tour of the UN headquarters in Nairobi:

11:30 – Meeting (to be confirmed) with one or more programme officers from UNEP / UN-Habitat. Presentation of current projects open to collaboration with the private sector, in fields such as sustainable construction, green energy, water, or urban innovation.

12:30 – 14: 00 End of the visit / optional lunch at the UN complex restaurant (international buffet)

14:00 –  17:00 : Meetings (Business to Business) or B2G meetings (Business to Government)

18:30: Belgian Reception

SATURDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2025 – SPECIAL ECONOMIC VISIT

  • 09:30 – 15:00: Visit of Tatu City Special Economic Zone

Free lunch / Free afternoon & hotel check-out
